Presented is a framed display of a Michael Jordan signature on a University of North Carolina basketball jersey. At North Carolina, Jordan played three seasons for coach Dean Smith. As a freshman, Jordan made the game-winning jump shot in the 1982 NCAA Championship game against Georgetown. During his three seasons with the Tar Heels, he averaged 17.7 ppg on 54 percent shooting, and added 5.0 rpg. He was selected by consensus to the NCAA All-American First Team in both his sophomore (1983) and junior (1984) seasons. After winning the Naismith and the Wooden College Player of the Year awards in 1984, Jordan left North Carolina one year before his scheduled graduation to enter the 1984 NBA draft. Jordan has signed his name in black marker on the white numeral “2” (of “23”) on the back of the “Carolina blue” mesh jersey. His name is embroidered above the number in white cloth block letters. The jersey has white sleeves, neck and sides. The jersey is mounted on a blue paper matte with a white border, within a 33 x 43-inch black wood frame with glass. This item comes with a STICKER ONLY from Upper Deck Authenticated (BAG68744).
