Thurman Munson, the 1970 American League Rookie of the Year, was one of the premier catchers of his era, hitting .292 across his 11-year career. Munson eclipsed the .300 batting average in five seasons and put together a three-year stretch of 100 RBI campaigns between 1975 and 1977. If not for his tragic death in a plane crash in 1979, there very well may have been a plaque with his name on it hanging in Cooperstown. This career-spanning Adirondack 369A model bat displays good game use with a cracked handle. The barrel shows many ball marks and abrasions and a light coat of pine tar is on the handle. The model number “369A” is stamped into the knob. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (B96941) for the game use and has been graded a solid GU 7.
