Known for his consistency and postseason heroics, Williams is one of the most beloved Yankees. He was a member of four World Series championship teams, was a five-time All-Star and won four Gold Glove Awards, a Silver Slugger Award, the American League (AL) batting title in 1998, and the 1996 AL Championship Series Most Valuable Player Award. The team honored him by retiring his uniform number 51 and dedicating a plaque to him in Monument Park in May 2015.
This navy blue Cosby equipment bag features the interlocking "NY" logo on both ends, with the city "New York" above and team name "Yankees" below. The bag comes with two paper inserts on each side pocket with a visible number "51" and Yankees Top Hat logo. One of the paper inserts possesses a vintage Yankee-Steiner Hologram appropriate for the time period. The bag shows excellent use and is consistent with other NY Yankees equipment bags from this time period.
