It’s not a question of if Derek Jeter will get into the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, but when.  The all-time New York Yankees hit leader, former captain and All-Star shortstop retired from Major League Baseball in 2014 after his 20-year career in the Bronx, beloved by his fans and admired by his peers. Presented is a lot of four items from the career of Jeter, including three signed items, that celebrate his career on and off the field.

The first item in this lot is a hardcover first edition of Jeter’s 2000 book, “The Life You Imagine – Life Lessons for Achieving Your Dreams,” written with Jack Curry. Jeter has signed the title page of the Crown Publishing book in black marker. The dustjacket features a color head and shoulder photo of a young Jeter in his Little League uniform. This item comes with a COA from PSA/DNA (F65013).

The second item in this lot is a pair of credentials issued to Jeter for the finals of the ICC Cricket World Cup, held March 29, 2015 in Melbourne, Australia. Jeter’s photo is in the upper right corner of the “Guest” credential issued to him for PepsiCo. The laminated credential has two holo stickers on the front, and a multi-colored cloth lanyard with the “ICC Cricket WorldCup 2015 Australia New Zealand” logo. The credential is accompanied by a second hard-plastic pass card to “ICG Hospitality Olympic Room” with a blue and white cloth lanyard with the “ICC Cricket WorldCup 2015 Hospitality” logo. This item comes with a LOA from former Major League player Andruw Jones.

The third item in this lot is Jeter’s signature, in blue marker, at the upper left corner of an 11x17-inch blank dugout lineup card for the 2009 World Series Game 1 between the New York Yankees and the Philadelphia Phillies, played October 28, 2009 at the new Yankee Stadium in the Bronx.  This item comes with a MLB Authenticated hologram (FJ534316) indicating that Jeter signed this lineup card on July 3, 2011 during a rehab game with the Trenton Thunder.

The fourth item in this lot is a Salvino limited edition cold-cast porcelain figurine of Jeter. The figure is number 74 in an edition of 368. This item comes with a COA from Salvino and in its original black 10 x 16 1/2 x 6 3/4-inch Salvino box. The 9-inch high figure depicts Jeter at bat in his Yankees road gray uniform. The figure is accompanied by a 4½ x 6½ brown ceramic base, with a 1 x 3½-inch white paper cut signed by Jeter in black ballpoint pen. The signature comes with a MLB Authenticated hologram (R0029827).
