Led by a smothering defense that allowed a league-low 13.2 points per game, the 1990 New York Giants finished 13-3 during the regular season, winning the NFC East Division. Lawrence Taylor topped the team with 10.5 sacks and made the Pro Bowl along with fellow linebacker Pepper Johnson. Quarterback Phil Simms posted a 92.7 QB rating, while Ottis Anderson led the team with 784 rushing yards and 11 TDs. In the playoffs, the Giants defeated the Chicago Bears and San Francisco 49ers to reach Super Bowl XXV, where they would beat the Buffalo Bills, 20-19, in a memorable title game.
Presented here is a Balfour-manufactured 10K gold 1990 NY Giants Super Bowl champions ring top pendant, which is highlighted by two football-shaped diamonds set on a blue backdrop as additional smaller diamonds surround them. “GIANTS 1990 WORLD CHAMPIONS” reads in relief work on the outer perimeter. The back of the pendant, which shows some wear, is engraved “NANCY A. REHDER 1/27/91” and also includes a manufacturer’s “LGB 10K” mark. This item weighs approximately 16.6 grams.
