Behind the passing of Jim Harbaugh and the ground game of Jamie Morris, the Michigan Wolverines finished the 1986 season with a record of 11-2, going 7-1 in Big Ten conference play. Harbaugh threw for 2,729 yards, while Morris rushed for 1,086 yards – averaging 5.2 yards per carry – and six touchdowns.
