Head coach Bo Schembechler’s 1988 Michigan Wolverines outscored their opponents by a combined 361-167, carrying them to a 9-2-1 overall record (7-0-1 in the Big Ten), good for 4th in the final AP poll. The Wolverines finished the season with a 22-14 victory over USC in the Rose Bowl. Running back Tony Boles was the team’s featured weapon, rushing for 1,408 yards and nine touchdowns.

Presented here is a Jostens 10K gold 1988 Michigan Wolverines Big 10 and Rose Bowl champions ring, featuring a large letter “M” on a blue colored football-shaped stone. “1988 BIG TEN CHAMPIONS” reads around the outside. One side lists the teams and final score of the Rose Bowl, above an enamel-filled image of a rose. “Rose Bowl” is also displayed at the bottom. A colorful Wolverines helmet centers the ring’s opposite side, with the name “ANDERSON” above and “DR” below. There is some apparent wear that is shown. “10K JOSTENS ©” is marked inside the band of this approximate size 10 ring. This item weighs approximately 28.0 grams.
