Offered is a 553-card collection of 1909-11 T206 White Border insert cards. Our consignor purchased these cards from a flea market in the 1970s for a nominal sum and have had them in his possession ever since. Mostly "Piedmont" and "Sweet Caporal"-branded backs, there is a small selection of "Old Mill" examples in here. Over sixty Hall of Famers are included in this array. Highlights include: Baker, Bender (2), Bresnahan (2), Brown (4), Chase (9), Chesbro, Chance (9), Crawford, Evers (6), Griffith (3), Huggins (2), Jennings (4), Joss, Lajoie (2), Marquard (3), Mathewson/Dark Glove (3: GD/VG, GD, PR, pencil), Mathewson/Portrait (2: GD, PR), McGinnity (2), McGraw (3), Speaker (PR, pencil), Waddell, Wallace, Wheat, Willis (3) and Young/Glove Shows (3: GD, FR, PR). Overall, the cards grade PR to GD with a smattering of VG examples.
