After a decade in Boston, 1993 saw Wade Boggs take the field in the pinstripes of the rival New York Yankees. Boggs thrived in the Big Apple, batting .302 in his first New York summer. In 1996 his bat helped the Yankees win the World Series, something that eluded him during his Boston years. Boggs’ Yankee-era Louisville Slugger B349 model bat shows awesome game use. The barrel is covered with ball marks and stitch impressions along with ink transfers and bat rack paint streaks. The impression of a weighted batting donut is visible, and the handle is covered in Boggs’ trademark heavy coat of pine tar. The knob has Boggs’ number “12” handwritten in marker and the Hall of Famer has signed the barrel in blue marker. A very complete gamer with all the bells and whistles one would desire on a Wade Boggs bat. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B17837) for the game use and has been graded a near-perfect GU 9.5 and a LOA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication for the signature.
