One of the keys to the resurgence of the Chicago Cubs was their tight infield, led by second baseman Javier Baez. In 2017 he sparkled with .273 average tied in with 23 home runs, 24 doubles and 75 RBI. Add in that he had the best quick tags in the game, and you have one of the secrets of the Chicago Cubs rise into the first division. The Marucci JG13-M model bat shows good game use. The barrel displays some ball marks and abrasions along with white leather ball scuffs. The handle has a moderate coat of pine tar and the bat’s specs and Baez’s number “9” are stamped into the knob. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B17269) for the game use and has been graded a solid GU 8.5.
