United States legend Michelle Akers wore this red jacket upon her induction to the National Soccer Hall of Fame in 2004. Akers is arguably the most important player in United States soccer history, netting the first goal for the Stars and Stripes in 1985 against Denmark. In 1991, Akers won the World Cup Golden Boot after scoring 10 goals in the inaugural FIFA Women’s World Cup, including both goals in the United States 2-1 victory over Norway in the tournament final. Akers continued to accrue silverware throughout the 1990’s, winning the gold medal in the 1996 Atlanta Summer Olympics and ending the century with a victory over China in the 1999 FIFA Women’s World Cup. Akers ended her illustrious United States career with 155 caps and 107 goals and was named the FIFA Woman co-Player of the Century, alongside China’s Sun Wen, in 2000.

This offered Hall of Fame jacket is red, with the National Soccer Hall of Fame crest sewn on the left breast. The jacket has a two-button front with a pair of pockets above the waist. A size “12F” tag is sewn on the back inside collar. This historic jacket comes with a LOA signed by Michelle Akers herself. A portion of the proceeds shall benefit the Michelle Akers Horse Rescue & Outreach Inc.
