Ryne Sandberg was the highest paid player in the majors in 1992 and he earned every cent. His .304 batting average, 26 home runs, 100 runs, and 87 RBI were the best of any National League second baseman and earned him the Silver Slugger Award. Ryno’s 1992 Rawlings 256B model bat shows great game use. The barrel exhibits several tremendous ball marks that include stitch impressions, ink transfers and white leather scuffs. The handle has a light coat of pine tar and the knob has Sandberg’s number “23” in black marker. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B17594) for the game use and has been graded a near-perfect GU 9.
