This bat dates to Keith Hernandez’s best seasons in the majors. During this period, 1980-1983, Hernandez made the all-star team every summer and took home the Gold Glove Award every fall. In that period, he batted .306 and hit 43 home runs. The Louisville Slugger H245 model bat shows good game use with some ball marks with stitch impressions visible on the barrel. The handle has a moderate coat of pine tar and the knob has Hernandez’s number “37” handwritten in black marker. The first baseman has signed the barrel in bold black marker. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B16391) for the game use and has been graded a near-perfect GU 9.5 and a LOA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication for the signature.
