Babe Ruth and 23 of his 1934 New York Yankees teammates signed this Spalding "Babe Ruth Home Run Special" baseball during the spring training of Ruth’s swan song season with the club. The Babe signed his name prominently on the sweet spot of this fantastic item. This autographed team baseball include some of the most profound baseball players ever! Herb Pennock, Bill Dickey, Earle Combs, Lefty Gomez, Tony Lazzeri (signed twice!), Red Ruffing and Joe Sewell. That's nine different HOFers on this amazing baseball. Also included are Ben Chapman, John Broaca, Eddie Farrell, Sam Byrd, John Allen, Russ Van Atta, Frank Crosetti, Dan MacFayden, Charlie Devens, Cy Moore, Art Jorgens, Lyn Lary, as well as clubhouse signatures of Joe McCarthy and Art Fletcher. The Iron Horse would win the Triple Crown that season with 49 home runs, 165 RBI and a .363 average, but Gomez captured a Triple Crown of his own, winning the pitchers version, leading the league in Wins (26), ERA (2.33) and strikeouts (158). Ruth and Gehrig signatures a very bold fountain pen beauties, a strong ("8-9"). Sewell, Lopez, Lazzeri and Pennock are all signed on the same panel, grading ("6-7"). Dickey’s signature is on the north panel from Ruth’s, and grades (5-6"). Balance of signatures grades ("5-7") with a lighter area that severely affects one of the Lazzeri signatures and Jorgens, however, this area is not witnessed when displaying the Ruth signature. Ball was signed during spring training 1934. Babe Ruth's final year with the Bronx Bombers. Full LOA from PSA/DNA, cert number B28642.
