By 1992 Michael Jordan had reinvented the game of basketball, molding the way it would be played from that point forward. In that 1992 season Jordan recorded his 20,000-career point and would go on to end the year leading the NBA in both points per game, with 32.6, and steals per game, at 2.8. Jordan also led the Bulls to the first of their two NBA Finals three-peats when they beat the Suns in six games.

The Bulls superstar wore these Nike Air Jordan’s during a game played in that 1992-93 season. The white size 13 sneakers are trimmed in grey and red with the iconic Michael Jordan “jumping man” logo in red embedded in the tread. The Nike labels are present in each tongue and the laces appear to be original. There is some wear evident on each sneaker, but the white leather and red and gray detailing remain bright. Jordan has signed the toe of the left sneaker in bold, black marker, making this an outstanding game used set from Michael Jordan’s prime. The sneakers come with a LOA from the Chicago Bulls for the provenance and game use and a COA from Upper Deck for the signature. Note: the UD COA list the right shoe signed, when in fact Jordan signed the left. This mistake is mentioned in an additional Chicago Bulls LOA, which is also included.

Please note that this lot has a 25% Buyer’s Premium (28% if payment is made using a credit card and/or is not paid within 10 days of invoice). Goldin Auctions will be donating 5% of the winning bid price to The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
