During the four seasons Tony Gwynn was swinging this bat, the Padres legend averaged .367 and won three consecutive batting titles: 1994,95 and 96. It’s no wonder that an avid baseball fan and collector like Angels owner Gene Autrey would request a bat used by such a colossal hitter. Direct from the Gene Autrey collection, Tony Gwynn’s 1993-1997 Hillerich & Bradsby B267 model bat shows tremendous game use with a cracked handle. The barrel displays many ball marks with stitch impressions and ink transfers. The handle and knob have been taped to enhance the grip and Gwynn’s number “19” has been handwritten in white paint on the knob end and in black on the barrel end. The Hall of Famer has added a perfect black marker signature to the barrel, completing this museum-quality Gwynn gamer. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B17861) for the game use and a LOA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication for the signature. This bat comes from the personal collection of the late Gene Autry and a LOA from his widow Jacqueline Autry will accompany this item.
