Presented is a presentation copy of U. S. House of Representatives Resolution 599, “Congratulating the Anaheim Angels for winning the 2002 World Series”, presented to Angels owner Jackie Autry. The Angels defeated the San Francisco Giants, four games to three, to win their first, and, to date, only World Series championship. Angels third baseman Troy Glaus was named the World Series Most Valuable Player. He batted .385 (10 for 26) in the series, with 3 doubles, 3 home runs, and 8 RBI. The two teams set a record for combined most home runs in a World Series (21), which stood until 2017.

Jackie Autry is the former owner of the Angels and widow of the original owner, Gene Autry, actor, singer and businessman. Autry is the only woman to ever serve on the Major League Baseball Executive Council, on its Oversight Committee, and as a member of the MLB board of directors. The House Resolution is printed in black ink on two pages of 10 x 15-inch ivory paper and is mounted within a 10½ x 15½-inch blue leatherette tri-fold folio, accompanied by a cover letter from the Clerk of the House of Representatives to Jackie Autry. The front cover has “United States Congress Enrolled Resolution” stamped in gold along with the seal of Congress. This item comes with a LOA from Jackie Autry.
