Frank Robinson wore this gray road jersey in 1967, the season following his becoming the only player in history to win the MVP Award in both leagues. He also won the Triple Crown, led the O’s to a World Championship and took away the Series MVP honors as well. For 1967 Robinson hit .311 with 30 home runs and 94 RBI. The gray flannel road jersey has “Baltimore” across the chest in orange and black felt with Robinson’s number 20 below in the same colors. The sleeves are the “above bicep cut” favored by Frank during this period in his career. A Spalding label is sewn in the lower left front tail. The collar and front is trimmed in black piping and a white strip tag with “44 Set 1 67 20” is sewn in the collar.

The back of the jersey has “F. ROBINSON” above his number “20” in black and orange felt. While the script “Baltimore” and number on the front and back is original to 1967, Robinson’s name has been professionally restored. Also, under close examination the Orioles “laughing bird” patch appears to have been attached and then removed from the left sleeve. The jersey exhibits heavy use throughout. Frank Robinson has added his signature to the front of the jersey, topping off an already extraordinary Hall of Fame and museum quality piece. This jersey comes with an LOA from MEARS (313122) for the game use and has been graded an A6.5. There are also additional LOAs from JSA (X56358) and PSA/DNA (U02184) for the signature.
