Dr. J’s tenure in Philly brought forth an NBA MVP Award (1981), a World Championship (1983), and a pair of NBA All-Star Game MVP Awards (1977 & 1983). When he retired in 1987, he left behind a record that made him one of the greatest basketball players of all-time. These Converse All-Stars were worn by Erving during the 1980s. The white leather sneakers have been personalized with “DR J” stamped into the outside ankle of each sneaker. The white laces are intact, and the sneakers display very good game use with scuffs and tread wear present. Dr J has perfectly signed the outside ankle of each sneaker in black marker, completing this awesome pair of Julius Erving gamers. Comes with a LOA from MEARS (316494) for the game use and a LOA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication for the signature.
