Former Major League Freddie Fitzsimmons the first 12-plus seasons with the New York Giants before he was traded to the cross-town Brooklyn Dodgers in June of 1937. This offered Brooklyn Dodgers cap has been attributed to Fitzsimmons during his time with the Brooklyn Dodgers. The game experts at MEARS have determined that Fitzsimmons wore this cap during the 1938-1943 seasons. This cap all-blue cap displays moderate game use with a small chip in front of the bill. The Brooklyn “B” is sewn on in white and the shell has six panels with a white topper. The hat is a size 7 3/8 and was manufactured by Spalding. On the tan leather inner lining is embroidered “Fitzsimmons. A great piece of early 20th century Brooklyn Dodgers memorabilia. This item comes with a LOA from MEARS (307286) for the game use.
