After being defeated for the first and only time in the World Series by their rivals the Brooklyn Dodgers, the Yankees returned to business as usual by easily winning the ’56 pennant and facing the Dodgers again in the Fall Classic. This time the Yankees didn’t just beat Brooklyn but humiliated the Bums by being no-hit by Don Larsen in Game 5. 30 members of the 1956 World Champion Yankees have signed this Reach Official American League Harridge ball including Hall of Famers Mickey Mantle, Yogi Berra, Casey Stengel, Bill Dickey, Whitey Ford and Phil Rizzuto plus, Billy Martin, Don Larsen, Elston Howard, Frank Crosetti, Hank Bauer (X2), and Andy Carey. The signatures are in blue ballpoint and though there is some toning to the ball, the signatures are very legible. This ball comes with a LOA from JSA (X03276) for the signatures.
