Led by Hall of Fame pitcher Sandy Koufax, who won the National League Cy Young Award and MVP, the 1963 Los Angeles Dodgers captured the National League pennant by six games over the St. Louis Cardinals and swept the New York Yankees in the World Series. This was the Dodgers second World Series title since relocating to Los Angeles from Brooklyn before the 1958 season.
