The “Big Red Machine” Cincinnati Reds really began to take off when first-year manager Sparky Anderson took the reigns in 1970. Under the leadership of the venerable Hall of Fame manager, the 1970 Cincinnati Reds stormed to a 102-60 record, which was 14 ½ games better than the next closest NL West team. Led by Pete Rose, Johnny Bench and Tony Perez, the Reds swept the Pittsburgh Pirates in the NLCS only to lose out to the mighty Baltimore Orioles in the World Series.
This offered baseball has been signed by 24 members of the 1970 National League champion Cincinnati Reds. Hall of Fame manager Sparky Anderson has signed the sweet spot with “George Anderson”. Other signatures include Hall of Famers Johnny Bench and Tony Perez, Pete Rose, Dave Concepcion, Gary Nolan, Don Gullett, Pedro Borbon, Bernie Carbo, Tony Clonginger, Ray Washburn, Hal McRae, Bob Tolan, Jim Stewart, Pat Corrales, Woody Woodward and others. This baseball comes with a LOA from JSA.
