The team would win the pennant by a single game over Boston and then beat the Dodgers in five games for the Championship. 25 members of the 1949 World Champion Yankees have signed this ball including Hall of Famers Joe DiMaggio, Yogi Berra, and Phil Rizzuto plus Jerry Coleman, Ralph Buxton, Joe Page, Jack Phillips, Charlie Keller, Duane Pillette, Tommy Henrich, Stuffy Sternweiss, Bobby Brown, Bill Johnson, Tommy Byrne, Cuddles Marshall, Johnny Lindall, Gene Woodling, Vic Raschi (clubhouse), Gus Niarhos, Charlie Silvera, Ed Lopat, Fred Sanford, Allie Reynolds, Cliff Mapes, and Hank Bauer. The blue ballpoint signatures display nicely against the warm white leather of the ball. This ball comes with a LOA from JSA (BB34342) for the signatures.
