Stewart won 11 PGA tour events including the 1989 PGA Championship, and the 1991 and 1999 U.S. Open Championships. Famous for his dapper and “retro” golf attire, Stewart was admired for his graceful and fluid swing even after his untimely death in a plane crash in 1999. Stewart signed this official first-round scorecard in pencil (grade 8) from the 1982 Doral Open, Stewart’s first year on the PGA tour. His front-nine score of “36” and back-nine score of “38” are recorded individually as is his “74” total. The scorecard has three folds and shows some signs of discoloration, but is otherwise clean and intact. An LOA from James Spence Authentication accompanies this document.
