On July 9, 2011, Derek Jeter stepped to the plate in the third inning against Tampa Bay Rays lefty David Price, and slammed a HR into the left field seats for his 3000th career hit. Jeter went on the finish the day 5 for 5, culminating a great day in the usual Jeter fashion. This ball was used in that game, and has been boldly signed (“10”) in blue ink “Derek Jeter” on the sweet spot. This ball displays perfectly and exhibits great game use with the reddish tones from infield dirt. This is a piece of Jeter history, Yankee history and MLB history.
