With his 417 wins and 2.17 career earned run average, many feel Walter Johnson is the best pitcher who ever lived. "The Big Train", who became the first member of baseball's 3,000 strikeout club in 1923, ended his career with 3,508 punch outs. His 110 career shutouts is one of a few Major League records that has no chance of ever being broken. Johnson was inducted into the baseball Hall of Fame's inaugural class in 1936 with fellow legends Babe Ruth, Ty Cobb, Honus Wagner, and Christy Mathewson. This Germantown Bank check is dated January 25, 1941 and made out completely in Johnson's hand. Made out to "John Rabbitt" for $12.00, Walter added his famous signature boldly to the bottom of the check. This PSA/DNA encapsulated check has been double matted with gorgeous gray suede and two 8x10 photos of the dominant right-hander. Framed professionally in a cherry wood frame that measures approximately 25.5x25.5, this stunning piece of baseball history is topped with museum quality UV glass to protect the piece from ever fading. You would be hard pressed to find a nicer Walter Johnson piece of memorabilia.
