4,191 hits. 54 steals of home. These are just a few of the ridiculous statistics that Ty Cobb compiled during his Hall of Fame career. Known as "The Georgia Peach", Cobb was one of the most controversial players in the history of American sports. From his "spikes up" mentality on the base paths to his run ins with umpires and fans, Cobb did not have many friends throughout the game of baseball. On the field however, nobody played the game better than Tyrus Raymond Cobb. Throughout his 24 year career, Cobb won an absurd 12 batting titles, including 9 in a row from 1907-1915. Cobb was inducted into baseball's inaugural Hall of Fame class in 1936, receiving more votes than fellow inductees Babe Ruth and Honus Wagner. This stunning framed display features a PSA/DNA slabbed authentic 3x5 index card from Cobb. Card is signed very boldly in green ink and inscribed "4/18/52". Framed with this incredible signature are three 8x10 photos of Cobb, double matted with beautiful navy suede. This cherry wood frame measures approximately 34x24 and is topped with museum quality UV glass to protect the signature from fading. One of the nicest pieces of memorabilia you will find from one the of the greatest baseball players to ever live.
