Willie Randolph was a standout player for the New York Yankees. A member of the 1977 and 1978 World Series-winning teams, Randolph was a steady presence at second base and at the plate. Randolph finished his career with 2,210 hits. Willie’s 2,100th career hit came on August 30th, 1991 when he singled in the bottom of the sixth inning for an RBI against Mike Fetters of the California Angels at Milwaukee’s County Stadium.
This offered Official American League Bobby Brown baseball was the very ball Randolph hit for 2,100th career hit. This ball displays excellent game use with a large stain. Randolph has signed his name on the side panel and inscribed “Hit #2100”. Boldly inscribed in fine-tipped black marker on the sweet spot and adjoining panels read “VS CALIFORNIA ANGELS”, “2100th CAREER HIT 8-30-91” and “@ COUNTY STADIUM HIT OFF: MIKE FETTERS (SINGLE)”. This baseball derives from the Willie Randolph Collection and comes with a signed LOA from Willie Randolph.
