Willie Randolph was a standout player for the New York Yankees. A member of the 1977 and 1978 World Series-winning teams, Randolph was a steady presence at second base and at the plate. Randolph finished his career with 2,210 hits. Following his playing career that ended after the 1992 season, Randolph joined the coaching ranks and re-joined the Yankees in 1994. Randolph spent his second season as a coach in 1995 and wore this road Yankees’ uniform – jersey and pants, during that season.

Randolph wore this size 44 classic Yankees gray road jersey during 1995 season. “NEW YORK” is sewn on across this button-down jersey in navy and white tackle twill. The back of the jersey has Randolph’s number “30” sewn on in navy and white tackle twill. A Russell Athletic and size 44 MLB Authentic Diamond Collection manufacturers label with “100% Polyester” flag tag and a faded “RANDOLPH 95” strip tag is on the left front tail. The number 7 and a black armband are on the right sleeve in commemoration of Yankees legend Mickey Mantle’s passing on August 13, 1995. This jersey displays moderate use with some loose threads on the sewn on numbers and Randolph signed the “0” on the back of the jersey on the top bar and inscribed “95 Game Used” on the left bar of the “0” and “Never forget #7 “Five Tool”” on the right rung.

Also included in this lot are Randolph’s matching gray road pants. These pants display light use and the Russell Athletic size 35 tag is sewn on the inside back waist. Next to the Russell tag is the team tag that reads “RANDOLPH 35-28-94”. This game worn jersey and pants set derive from the Willie Randolph Collection and comes with a signed LOA from Willie Randolph.
