This baseball contains the signatures and inscriptions, all in fine-point blue ink, from those pitchers who faced Mantle at a significant point in his career. On the sweet spot, Boston LHP Bill Wight signed above “Mickey Mantle’s 1st Hit 4/17/51.” To the left, White Sox RHP Randy Gumpert signed above the inscription, “Mantle’s 1st M.L.H.R.” Red Sox RHP Jim Lonborg has signed above “Mantle’s Last HR #536 9-20-68.” Cleveland Indians’ RHP Louis Tiant signed above “MANTLE’S LAST HIT.” All signatures grade (“9 – 10”).
