Willie Randolph was a standout player for the New York Yankees. A member of the 1977 and 1978 World Series-winning teams, Randolph was a steady presence at second base and at the plate. Randolph finished his career with 2,210 hits. Following his playing career that ended following the 1992 season, Randolph joined the coaching ranks and re-joined the Yankees in 1994. In 1996, Randolph was the third base coach under manager Joe Torre.
Randolph was presented with this “Hail to the Victors” award by Man etc. in 1996 following the New York Yankees World Series championship victory. This award measures approximately one-foot tall and has a triangle tip. A “Man etc. Making a difference” logo is etched in white on the top with “HAIL TO THE VICTORS 1996 WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONS THE NEW YORK YANKEES” etched below. There are two columns with angled tops all mounted on a 7 ¾ x 3 ½ x ½-inch base. This award is in good condition. This item derives from the collection of Willie Randolph and a signed LOA from Willie Randolph will accompany this item.
