Offered is a lot of two 1990 World Series team signed bats by both teams in the championship, the Oakland Athletics and the Cincinnati Reds. The bats are from the collection of former Major League Baseball second baseman Willie Randolph, who was a member of the 1990 Oakland team.

The 1990 World Series featured the defending champions and heavily favored American League champion A’s against the National League champ Cincinnati. The Reds defeated the Athletics in a four-game sweep. It was the fifth 4-game sweep by the National League and second by the Reds after they did it in 1976, as well as the second consecutive World Series to end in a sweep, after the A's themselves did it to the San Francisco Giants in 1989. It is remembered for Billy Hatcher's seven consecutive hits. The sweep extended the Reds' World Series winning streak to nine games, dating back to 1975. This also was the second World Series meeting between the two clubs (Oakland won four games to three in 1972).

The first item in this lot is a Rawlings Adirondack bat with the engraved stamp “1990 World Series W. Randolph Oakland A’s” in black at the end of the barrel. This bat features 26 signatures in black marker from the 1990 Reds team, including Hall of Famer Barry Larkin, Billy Hatcher, Paul O’Neill, Mariano Duncan, Norm Charlton, Rob Dibble, Terry McGriff, Ken Griffey, Chris Sabo and manager Lou Pinella. This item comes with a LOA from Randolph.

The second item in this lot is a Louisville Slugger bat with the engraved stamp “Genuine H176 Willie Randolph 1990 World Series” in black on the end of the barrel. The bat features 32 signatures in black marker from the 1990 Oakland squad, including Baseball Hall of Famers Tony LaRussa (manager), Harold Baines, Rickey Henderson and Dennis Eckersley, as well as Willie Randolph, Jose Canseco, Rick Honeycutt, Terry Steinbach and Mark McGwire. These items derive from the Willie Randolph Collection and comes with a signed LOA from Willie Randolph. Additionally, there is a JSA Auction Letter for this entire lot.
