Hall of Famer Tony Perez commanded the Cincinnati Reds infield during the 1970’s when they won four pennants and back-to-back World Championships. He wielded the most feared bat in a lineup of ferocious hitters. This piece of historic wood dates from Perez’ final season with Cincinnati, culminating in the four-game sweep of the New York Yankees in the 1976 World Series. The Hillerich And Bradsby R43 model bat has the 1976-only Bicentennial logo stamp on the barrel. The bat shows excellent game use with several ball marks and scuffs on the barrel along with cleat imprints and bat rack paint streaks. Perez’s number “24” is handwritten on the knob and the Hall of Famer has signed the barrel in strong black marker. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B06342) for the game use and has been graded a near-perfect GU 9.5 and a LOA from JSA for the signature.
