In the illustrious history of boxing, Muhammad Ali is certainly on the short list of greatest boxers ever, in any weight class. The heavyweight Ali compiled a career record of 56-5 with 37 knockouts and was as big a personality outside the ring as when he was fighting. He won the world heavyweight title three different times over his career, with wins over Sonny Liston in 1964, George Foreman in 1974 and Leon Spinks in 1978.

Offered here is a Jostens 10K gold Muhammad Ali three-time world champion ring, given to staff member Lloyd Wells. “M. ALI WORLD CHAMP THREE TIMES” reads in relief work around the bezel setting of a large red stone. A round CZ is set on the stone while additional smaller CZs also are present on the ring’s top. One side shows the image of a boxing glove, with the names of the boxers Ali defeated for the title. “MUHAMMAD ALI” appears at the top and “’64-’74-‘78” at the bottom. Ali’s name also appears on the opposite side, above an image of a glove displaying “L WELLS ALI STAFF”. A partial manufacturer and 10K stamp appear inside the band of this approximate size 12 ring.
