Hall of Fame quarterback Brett Favre became the first quarterback to throw 450 touchdown passes in NFL history and did it when he threw a 34-yard TD pass to Laveranues Coles in the second quarter during one of his best games in his career. Favre threw for a career-high six touchdowns on 24-34 passing for 289 yards as the New York Jets rolled to a 56-35 shootout victory over the Arizona Cardinals at Giants Stadium on September 28, 2008. Farve also tied Hall of Famer Joe Namath for the most touchdown passes in a single game by a Jets' quarterback.

For the first half of the September 28th game when Favre hit the 450 TD plateua, Favre wore this rare throw-back New York Jets (New York Titans) navy blue mesh jersey. The Jets wore throwback uniforms honoring the Titans of New York, who were a charter member of the American Football League and played the first three seasons in the AFL as the Titans before switching the name to the Jets.
