Hall of Fame quarterback Dan Marino is widely regarded as one of the best pure passers this game has ever seen. Coming out of the University of Pittsburgh and drafted in the first round by the Miami Dolphins in 1983, Marino quickly established himself as one of the top quarterbacks the NFL.
During the three seasons this offered Miami Dolphins white jersey was worn by Marino from 1984-1986, he led the NFL in all three of those seasons in completions, yards and touchdowns and was an All-Pro selection. Marino’s 1984 season alone was spectacular as he threw for 5,084 yards and 48 touchdowns – this in an era where wide receivers were not given the hands-free protections that current players receive in today’s game.
Marino’s Dolphins jersey is a white mesh size 48 manufactured by Russell Athletic. Marino’s number “13” is screen-printed on the front, back and sleeves in teal and orange. Teal and orange stripe rings are screen-printed on the sleeves. “MARINO” is screen-printed in teal on a matching white nameplate that is sewn on above the numbers on the back. This jersey displays moderate game use with some team repairs and shows minor toning. Marino has signed his name black marker on his nameplate on the back and inscribed “13”. This jersey comes with a LOA from MEARS (300872) for the game use and has been graded a solid A8. Additionally, there is a LOA from JSA for Marino’s signature.
