Offered in this lot is an Adidas Tricolore soccer ball used during the 1998 FIFA World Cup in France. Manufactured in Morocco, this was the first World Cup ball since 1970 not manufactured in continental Europe. The white and blue soccer ball features a design that incorporates the French flag and a rooster, the symbol of the French Football Federation. France claimed the 1998 FIFA World Cup title on home soil, defeating the 1994 World Cup winners Brazil 3-0 in the Final. This was the first World Cup title for France, who would repeat 20 years later against Croatia in the 2018 FIFA World Cup. This soccer ball shows good use and comes with a LOA from a member of the Brazilian Football Confederation.
