Boston Red Sox owner Tom Yawkey was always referred to a as a “player’s owner.” His team was always higher paid than any other and he nurtured a familiarity with his players that no other team owner could approach. This fraternization extended to the ballfield where Yawkey would sometimes take batting practice with the team, complete with his own Louisville Slugger signature model bat. Tom Yawkey’s Hillerich & Bradsby W183 model bat displays great use with a secured crack in the back barrel. The barrel is covered with ball marks and scuffs along with cleat imprints and bat rack paint streaks.
