When you own a ballclub the perks can be absolutely enviable. Take for instance longtime Red Sox owner Tom Yawkey. While other owners might be content to stay in their skyboxes, Yawkey routinely grabbed his Ted Williams model bat and took his cuts in the batting cage. This is one of the bats he used to show his players how it’s done. The Hillerich & Bradsby W166 Ted Williams model bat shows tremendous use. The barrel is covered with many distinctive ball marks with white leather scuffs, ink transfers and cleat imprints. The knob has been stamped with the model number “W166” and the number “32” and Yawkey’s initials “T.A.Y.” handwritten in black marker. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B18052) for the game use.
