Still regarded by many as baseball's single season home run king, Roger Maris brought the whole nation to the edge of their seats during his historic 1961 home run chase. On October 1, 1961 in the 4th inning of the last regular season game of the year, Maris launched a Tracy Stallard pitched ball into the right field seats, putting Babe Ruth in his rearview mirror. Maris was named the American League Most Valuable player for his historic season, winning the award in consecutive seasons. On top of his 2 MVP awards, Maris was a 7x All-Star and 3x World Series champion. His brilliant career landed his #9 in monument park at Yankee Stadium. Maris has signed this Yankees 8x10 photo boldly in blue sharpie. You would be hard pressed to find a nicer signature on a photo from Maris than this one right here. Signature has been authenticated by PSA/DNA and comes with a full LOA.
