Perhaps no other comedy duo are as warmly remembered as Bud Abbott and Lou Costello. With their roots reaching back to the days of vaudeville and transcending through radio, movies and finally television, the two men made generations of Americans laugh with wild abandon. Who can forget “Who’s on First?” or “Two Tens for a Five” or “Susquehanna Hat Company”. Each bit is as funny and fresh as it was when it debuted. Here we had an album page signed by the comedy pioneers. Both men have signed the page in bold lead pencil. The 4 1/2” x 5 3/4” page has been separated from its original album and the right side shows perforations and tearing. The page has a diagonal crease which runs through the “ll” in Lou’s signature but both signatures are grouped together nicely and displays well. The back of the page has the pencil notation of “Gildersleeve” which may be the autograph of radio actor Harold Peary portrayed the character Throckmorton Philharmonic Gildersleeve on radio and movies. Letter of Authenticity from PSA/DNA.
