The National League were in the midst of a dominating run of All Star game victories when they pummeled the American League 9-3 to win the 1969 Summer Classic. This Spalding off-white ONL Giles ball contains 19 blue ink signatures, grading mostly ("6-8") with some lesser. The Roberto Clemente is in his usual flowing script. Includes: Red Schoendienst and Dave Bristol both on sweet spot, Jonny Bench, Juan Marichal ("5"), Grant Jackson, Chris Cannizzaro, Ron Santo ("3"), Randy Hundley ("3"), Steve Carlton, Lee May, Matty Alou, Tony Perez, Ernie Banks ("3"), Rusty Staub, Bob Gibson, Pete Rose, Willie McCovey ("5"), Roberto Clemente ("6") and Glenn Beckert. It is interesting how the three Cubs players who signed the ball (Santo, Banks and Beckert) are the three lightest signatures.
