Offered is a lot of two signed items by former United States Navy Seal Robert O’Neill, “the man who killed Bin Laden.” O’Neill is a former U.S. Navy SEAL, who is reputed to have fired the shot or shots that killed Bin Laden during a raid on his compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan on May 1, 2011. O'Neill was reportedly involved in more than 400 missions including the mission to save Captain Richard Phillips during the Maersk Alabama hijacking, and Operation Red Wings, in which O’Neill helped save Marcus Luttrell. He retired from the U.S. Navy in 2012 following 16 years of service. His 52 decorations include two Silver Stars, four Bronze Star Medals with Valor device, three Presidential Unit Citations, and two Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medals with Valor device.

The first item in this lot is O’Neill’s signature in blue marker on the left side of a 12 x 18-inch white paper reproduction of the “FBI TEN MOST WANTED FUGITIVE” poster for “Usama Bin Laden.” The poster includes a black & white photo of Bin Laden, along with text printed in both blue and black that provides a detailed description of the Al Qaeda leader, as well as cautionary details about his crimes and the reward information. This item comes with a COA from JSA (EE82313).

The second item in this lot is O’Neill’s signature in blue marker at the center left of a photographic reproduction of the October 1, 2001 cover of TIME magazine, with a photograph of Bin Laden and the headline “Target: Bin Laden.” This item comes with a COA from JSA (DD10881).
