Led by Hall of Fame pitcher Sandy Koufax, who won the National League Cy Young Award and MVP, the 1963 Los Angeles Dodgers captured the National League pennant by six games over the St. Louis Cardinals and swept the New York Yankees in the World Series. 27 members of the World Series winning team have signed this Official National League Warren Giles baseball. Signed across the sweet spot in faded black ink are the signatures of Hall of Famers Walter Alston and Leo Durocher. Written vertically next their names on the sweet spot is “N.L. CHAMP” on the left and “1963” on the right, both in blue pen. Hall of Famers Sandy Koufax and Don Drysdale’s names that appears on one of the side panels and other signatures include Ron Perranoski, Ken Rowe, Ron Fairly, Bob Miller, Dick Tracewski, Bill Skowron, Lee Walls, Johnny Podres, Frank Howard, Maury Wills, Wally Moon and several others. The ball displays minor toning and the signatures are light but clear. This ball comes from the collection of the late Gene Autry and a LOA signed by his widow Jacqueline Autry will accompany this ball. Additionally, there is a LOA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication. Please note that the signature of Tommy Davis has been deemed a clubhouse version by Beckett.
