American League pitchers dominated the 2001 Major League Baseball All-Star Game, holding the National League to just one run and three hits in a 4-1 victory. Roger Clemens started for the AL, pitching two perfect innings. Making his final All-Star Game appearance, Cal Ripken Jr. homered on his way to being named Most Valuable Player.
Offered here is a 2001 Major League Baseball American League All-Star Game ring, presented to Willie Randolph. This Jostens-manufactured ring features a CZ which is set in a Seattle Mariners logo-type burst design (in honor of the game’s host city) on a large green colored stone. “ALL STAR 2001” – along with a small image of the MLB logo – reads around the bezel setting in relief work. One side of the ring displays the American League’s 100th Anniversary logo with the opposite side showing the 2001 All-Star Game logo. The inside of the band is marked “AUR©JOSTENS”. This ring is an approximate size 10 ½ and weighs approximately 24.8 grams. This ring derives from the personal collection of Willie Randolph and a signed LOA will accompany this ring.
