Former Boston Red Sox outfielder Dwight Evans had another solid season in 1979 where he batted .274 with 21 home runs and 58 RBI. Evans wore this home white Red Sox jersey during the 1979 season. This Wilson size 44 button-down jersey features “RED SOX” sewn on the front in red and navy Tuscan font tackle twill. The placket of this jersey is lined with linen for player comfort. On the inside collar linen is the Wilson tag, with a white “79” patch sewn on the base of the front left tail. Red piping runs around the collar and down both sides of the buttons. The back of the jersey has Evans’ number “24” sewn on in McAuliffe-style red and navy tackle twill. This jersey displays moderate to heavy game use with puckering the sewn on numbers and letters and some stains on the front of the jersey. Evans signed his name in black marker on the right chest and inscribed “1979”. This jersey comes with a LOA from 100% Authentic for the game use.
