Willie Randolph was a standout player for the New York Yankees. A member of the 1977 and 1978 World Series-winning teams, Randolph was a steady presence at second base and at the plate. Randolph finished his career with 2,210 hits. After signing with the Los Angeles Dodgers for the 1989 season, Randolph was traded to the Oakland A’s by the Dodgers during the 1990 season.
Offered here are three game used bats used by Randolph during the 1990 season after his trade to Oakland. All three bats were made by Rawlings, with two of them MG9 models and the third bat a 259B model. All of the bats have a green stripe separating the barrel and handle. All of the bats have WILLIE RANDOLPH OAKLAND A’S stamped on the knob and all show outstanding game use. The bats are un-cracked and all have ball marks, blue ink transfers and a coating of pine tar on the upper handle/lower barrel area. The 259B model has been taped in a criss-cross pattern to enhance the grip. Two of the bats have “20” handwritten in black marker and one has “30” handwritten in black marker. Randolph has signed each of these bats in black marker and inscribed “Game Used”. These bats derive from the collection of Willie Randolph and a signed LOA will accompany these bats.
