Willie Randolph was selected to the All-Star team six times during his playing career.  This lot includes five baseballs that originated during Randolph’s laying days and are filled from panel to panel with Hall of Famers and All-time greats.  The first baseball in the group has no visible logo and consist of 29 signatures all who appear to be American League All Stars circa early 1980’s including George Brett, Robin Yount, Paul Molitor, Carlton Fisk, Rickey Henderson, Rod Carew, Goose Gossage, Alan Trammell, Tommy John, and Willie Randolph.  The ball has toning but all signatures are easily identifiable.   The second baseball also has an illegible logo but consists 27 signatures with names very similar to the first baseball including George Bett, Carlton Fisk, Goose Gossage, Dave Steib, Robin Yount, Rickey Henderson, Paul Molitor and Alan Trammell.  This baseball is also toned with mid-grade signatures.

The third baseball in the lot is also difficult to identify, but a logo is evident on the reverse sweet spot and most likely can be identified under luminescent exposure.  This baseball consists of 25 signatures including Hall of Famers Frank Robinson, Al Kaline, George Brett, Paul Molitor, Earl Weaver, Rickey Henderson, Goose Gossage and Carlton Fisk.  The ball shows toning and has mid-grade signatures combined with higher grade signatures in bold black ink three of which are Hall of Famers.  The fourth baseball in this collection is an Official 980 All Star Game baseball with 23 signatures including Hall of Famers Frank Robinson, Al Kaline, George Brett, Paul Molitor, Earl Weaver, Rickey Henderson, Alan Trammell, Goose Gossage and Carlton Fisk.  The baseball has on minimal toning and is still relatively white overall with a combination of mid-grade and high-grade signatures.

The fifth and final baseball in this collection of balls originating from Willie Randolph’s personal collection from his playing days is an official 1981 All Star Game Baseball with 23 signatures including Eddie Murray, Dave Winfield, George Brett, Rollie Fingers, Carlton Fisk, and Goose Gossage.  The baseball is overall in nice condition with minor toning and mid-grade signatures with a bold Dave Winfield.  These three baseballs come from the collection of Willie Randolph who has provided a signed LOA and this lot has been pre-certified by Beckett Authentication.
