Presented is a Mickey Mantle and Joe DiMaggio dual signed photograph of the pair in New York Yankees uniforms during the 1951 season (the only season the two were together on the Yankees roster), in a framed display. DiMaggio has signed his name in black marker over his image, while Mantle has signed his name in blue marker and inscribed “No. 7” below his signature over his image. The 11 x 14-inch black and white photo shows DiMaggio at the left with his back to the camera, bat perched over his left shoulder, smiling at Mantle, who is on the right smiling back at DiMaggio with his back to the camera and a bat perched over his right shoulder. This photo is mounted in a white paper matte and displayed in an 18½ x 21½ -inch black wood and glass frame. The 1951 Major League Baseball season was noted for a "changing of the guard" for the Yankees, as it was DiMaggio's final season and Mantle's first. Mantle made his debut April 17, 1951 against the Boston Red Sox, and during the season played right field and center field as a late-innings replacement. The 1951 Yanks, under the direction of manager Casey Stengel, won the World Series over the New York Giants in six games. This item comes with a COA from Steiner Sports, and a LOA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication (A25495).
